The Lake Lure Community Hall

The Community Hall is located at 2948 Memorial Hwy inside the Municipal Center/Town Hall. The Community Hall was designed and intended for use as a public meeting place, primarily by groups of town residents.

The Community Hall is 36’ by 39’ (1404 sq ft) and is equipped with 115 stackable chairs, 14 folding tables that are 3’ x 6’ and can seat up to 6 people. The Community Hall has limited kitchen facilities that allow warming and serving of food only, but not food preparation. According to the fire code, the Community Hall can accommodate 200 people when using just the chairs, and 93 people when using tables and chairs.

The rental cost is:

$ 100 for four hours or less, and deposit* - between hours of
9:00 AM -9:00 PM

$200 for more than four hours, and deposit* - between hours of
9:00 AM -9:00 PM

* A DEPOSIT OF $250.00 FOR EACH FACILITY RENTED,
PLUS THE TOTAL FEE AMOUNT, MUST BE TENDERED AT THE TIME THE PERMIT FOR USE APPLICATION IS FILED.

THE DATE YOU ARE REQUESTING WILL NOT BE HELD UNTIL DEPOSIT AND FEE IS PAID IN FULL.

The deposit is above and beyond the fee amount for each day rented. Once the event is held, as long as there is no damage or trash left behind, the deposit is then refunded by mail. Cancellation will cause forfeiture of the deposit; however, the fee would be refunded.

Note: Regularly scheduled town governmental functions and meetings have priority when scheduling the use of the community hall.
