The North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commission impacts the citizens of the Town of Lake Lure and its visitors in many ways. Wildlife commission officers enforce state fishing and boating regulations on the lake.

IMPORTANT NOTICE : Wildlife commission officers and our Lake Lure police officers enforce all state laws. It is against state law to posses and/or consume fortified wine, spirituous liquor or mixed beverages upon premises where not authorized by law. This state law will be enforced on Lake Lure since the lake is open to the public and consumption is not otherwise authorized. Ref: GS 18B-301(F).
