Town Center Walkway and Bridge of Flowers

The Town Center Walkway is a great way to take in the sights and sounds of Lake Lure and the village of Chimney Rock. A path of brick pavers extends approximately ½ mile along US64/74A through the town center from Jack London Road near the ABC Store to the Lake Lure Beach and Water Park area where it becomes a boardwalk with docks for temporary boat mooring. The walkway continues to Washburn Marina and Morse Park and then again becomes a paver walkway past the Municipal Center and across the old historic Rocky Broad River Bridge to Boys Camp Road.

Plans include two additional phases of construction to extend the walkway eastward from Jack London Road to the Lake Lure Post Office and westward from Boys Camp Road to the RiverWalk in Chimney Rock Village.
