TOWN REGULATIONS
Sign Regulation
No sign of any kind is allowed within 10 feet from the edge of the pavement. Signs cannot be attached to trees or telephone poles. The zoning of the area where a sign is to be placed determines the size of the sign and the type of sign that can be erected.
The Town of Lake Lure sign ordinance is very specific about signs within the right-of-way. They are not allowed. The right-of-way is defined as any area 10 feet from the edge of the pavement, regardless of topography. Putting a sign up anywhere in Lake Lure usually requires a permit.
If you have questions pertaining to the placement and/or about your sign, call the community development department at 828-625-9983 ext. 117.
