Washburn Marina

Having undergone a comprehensive renovation in 2012, Washburn Marina is managed by a private company and owned by The Town of Lake Lure. It is adjacent to Morse Park. A variety of fee-based boating and recreational opportunities are available, including:

  • A convenient boat launch
  • An ample number of boat slips that include lighting, electrical outlets and security cameras
  • Boat, canoe, and kayak rentals
  • Lake tour boat excursions
  • Ticket office, bathrooms and nearby dining opportunities
  • Picnic tables and covered boat tour waiting area
  • Shaded pergola area with beautiful landscaping
  • Easy access to the Town Center Walkway and the quaint village of Chimney Rock

Hours:

SLIPS:  The boat slips at the marina are open (to paid renters) year round.

RAMP:  The boat launch ramp is open 24x7 year round

SALES: Tour boats do not run in the winter.  Thus, the marina office is closed for ticket sales, merchandise and boat permit sales during the off season.

GAS:     The marina office and gas pumps are not open year round.  They have a limited off-season schedule (weekends only in November, call for hours in March).  April through October, they’re open daily from 10 am to 6 pm. During the off season, the gas pumps are opened by appointment.
