What are those Helicopters in Morse Park?...NCHART Emergency Training - 4/24/24 & 4/25/24

The Lake Lure Fire and Rescue Department, Chimney Rock State Park Staff, and the NC Emergency Management Team will be working with the North Carolina Helicopter Aquatic Rescue Team (NCHART) on Wednesday, April 24, 2024 and Thursday, April 25, 2024.  Please be advised that there will be helicopters landing in Morse Park throughout the day, dropping crews off for the training exercise.

NCHART is a highly specialized team consisting of N.C. National Guard and N.C. State Highway Patrol.  The Town of Lake Lure is pleased to host this emergency training exercise.
