Winter Weather Watch Continues - Let It Snow!

The National Weather Service updated today's weather forecast with the following information.

WINTER STORM WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM LATE FRIDAY NIGHT THROUGH SATURDAY AFTERNOON...

* WHAT: Heavy mixed precipitation possible. Total snow accumulations of up to one inch and ice accumulations of one tenth to three tenths of an inch possible.

* WHERE: Portions of piedmont and western North Carolina. 

* WHEN: From late Friday night through Saturday afternoon.

* IMPACTS: Power outages and tree damage are likely due to the ice. Travel could be nearly impossible.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS: A Winter Storm Watch means there is a potential for significant snow, sleet, or ice accumulations that may impact travel. Continue to monitor the latest forecasts.
