Upper Boulders Trail

The Carolina Climbers Coalition partnered with the Town of Lake Lure to open a new boulder field and mini cliff within Buffalo Creek Park! This new 3-mile trail (1.5 miles each way) provides access to expanded bouldering and climbing opportunities within Buffalo Creek Park. The Upper Boulder Trail features a creek with cascades and a summit view. Note that this trail is open for hiking only.

The Upper Boulders Trail has been installed by the Carolina Climbers Coalition to provide expanded bouldering and climbing opportunities within Buffalo Creek Park. This new trail was made possible through a partnership between the Town of Lake Lure, Carolina Climbers Coalition, and the Tourism Development Authority.
