2/8/22 COVID-19 Update

There have been (370) (+15) Total Positive COVID-19 Cases in the Lake Lure zip code (28746). Sadly there have now been 9 (+1) deaths. We continue to hold the families of these individuals in our hearts.

Rutherford County has had (16,670) (+552) Total Positive Cases as of this date. We are pleased to report the Percent Positivity Rate has diminished slightly and is now at 32.3% (-4.3%), the average over the past 14 days. Sadly, there have been (371) (+7) Total Deaths related to COVID-19 in our County. We lift up the families and friends of these individuals.

The total number of people vaccinated with at least one dose in the County is now (29,731), still at 44%, well below the state percentage of 71%. We encourage those who are not currently vaccinated to take the vaccine. Free Vaccines and Booster shots are now available in Lake Lure at our local Ingles Pharmacy every day from 10AM-8PM. You may also get a free vaccine at the Rutherford County Health Department Monday - Friday 8-4:30 at 221 Callahan Koon Rd. Spindale, NC. Appointments are recommended.
