Town of Lake Lure – Phase One Lake Reopening (Soft Opening)

Town Officials were very pleased to announce a Phase One “Soft Opening” of the lake beginning April 20, 2026, following continued progress in recovery efforts and improving lake conditions. We are forever grateful to all those who helped us achieve this important milestone! PLEASE REVIEW THE SOFT OPENING GUIDELINES.

We are hoping to be able to announce a Grand Opening at a Ceremony Announcing Reopening Dates for Lake Lure on May 15, 2026 as our goal is to reopen the lake and Lake Lure Beach fully by Memorial weekend. Please stay tuned to the Town News on the homepage of the website for announcements.
