Another Step Forward at the Washburn Marina - Note Temporary Boat Ramp Change for 7/27/26 - 7/29/26

Construction continues at the Washburn Marina with the installation of the new fueling system.

To allow this work to be completed safely, the Washburn Marina boat ramp will be temporarily closed Monday, July 27, 2026 through Wednesday, July 29, 2026.

Temporary Boat Ramp: During this time, boaters may use the Pool Creek Picnic Park boat ramp, located at 2662 Memorial Hwy., Lake Lure, NC 28746. Boats may be temporarily moored at the Day Slips on the H Dock, closest to the Lake Lure Beach. 

Trailer Parking: Trailer parking will remain available at Morse Park. The new floating boardwalk provides a short, convenient walk from Morse Park over to the Lake Lure Beach, and around the corner to Pool Creek Picnic Park.

We appreciate your patience as construction continues on this important resource.  Completing the fueling system brings us one step closer to a fully operational Washburn Marina, with project completion anticipated in August.
