East Entrance to Morse Park Reopens 11/22/25 - Visit the new Playground, Walkway, and Gazebo

The Town of Lake Lure, NC is thrilled to share that the East entrance of Morse Park will officially reopen on Saturday, November 22, 2025!

We invite everyone to come experience the new playground, stroll along the refreshed walkway, and take in the stunning views of the Rumbling Bald vistas from the beloved Lake Lure Gazebo.

A heartfelt thank you to our incredible Lake Lure Public Works Department for the beautiful landscaping that brings this space to life. Deep appreciation also goes to Blue Cross and Blue Shield for the generous donation of the playground equipment - and to the KABOOM team and the many community volunteers whose hard work and dedication made the new playground possible.

The reopening of Morse Park marks another major step forward in Lake Lure’s restoration journey. We are coming back strong—together!
