  • 1.6% decrease in new cases (7-day average), as of July 21st

Testing

  • 933,686,763 tests completed (7/22)
  • 17.97% positive test rate as of the week of 7/13 – 7/19 (was 17.62% last week)

Hospitalizations

  • 5,014,577 total COVID hospital admissions
  • The 7-day average (7/17 – 7/23) number of new confirmed COVID-19 admissions decreased from 6,070 to 5,906 admissions per day

Deaths

  • 1,022,349 total US deaths
  • The 7-day average (7/15 – 7/21) number of reported deaths increased from 349 to 355 deaths per day

Vaccines

  • 601,497,801 vaccine doses administered (7/20)
  • 78.7% (261.2 million people) of the population has received 1 or more doses and 67.2% (222.9 million people) of the population have been fully vaccinated
  • 83.4% of people five years and older have received at least 1 dose and 71.4% have been fully vaccinated
