Lake Lure Classical Academy Earth Day Events
Lake Lure Classical Academy Earth Day programming will be from 8:30-12:00. During this time, students in grade K-8 will get to rotate through stations to learn about various nature related topics. Students will get to meet creatures like bunnies, wild birds, exotic birds, reptiles, and amphibians. They will also get to participate in hands-on projects and crafts while enjoying and celebrating the natural world around them.

From 1:00-3:00PM, middle school students and high school students will participate in Earth Day Service Projects around LLCA campus and hopefully around the town of Lake Lure. Rick Carpenter is working on supplying us with a list of service project ideas that the students could potentially do for the town.
Lastly, from 6:00pm until 9:00 AM Saturday morning, middle school students will participate in an overnight campout on campus. This will be a fun and exciting day!
Special Thanks: Ms. Evelyn Warner has served in a lead role in developing the Earth Day event. She has done a phenomenal job of bringing outdoor education to Lake Lure Classical Academy. Her commitment to experiential education is outstanding and inspiring.
