Turtle Rock Trail Workers

ROC trail work continues! Join us next week at Turtle Rock Trail.

What to expect:

Join our maintenance crew every Wednesday to help keep our local trails safe and sustainable for recreation!
This crew is responsible for 5 trails in Rutherford County: the Isothermal Community College Trail System, Dittmer-Watts Nature Trail Park, Turtle Rock Trail (to be opened soon!), Weed Patch Mountain Trail, and Buffalo Creek Park Loop Trail. We will be doing a wide range of tasks, like trimming overgrowth (brushing), removing obstacles (ex. downed trees), maintaining the trail tread, and mitigating erosion and drainage issues. Volunteers are welcome to join for just 1 workday, join every once in a while, or keep coming back every Wednesday!

When: Wednesday, July 8th 9AM-12PM

Where: Turtle Rock Trail

Registration is required for Trail Tamers workdays for safety and planning purposes.

Our team is for volunteers of all skill levels, even those totally new to trail maintenance. We will be doing a variety of tasks that will require varying skills, so there is something for everyone to do! Also, there will be plenty of instruction and guidance on all tasks assigned, so you are welcome on any of our workdays to learn and help out!
