Planned Power Outage on Friday Evening/Saturday Morning, 9/3/22 at 12:01 AM

Duke Energy is planning an emergency outage at our Lake Lure Substation this Saturday morning (9-3-2022) beginning at 12:01 AM.  The outage is expected to last 3 hours and is required to replace damaged equipment in the substation.

The outage will impact the areas north of the dam, as well as customers below the dam down to Rock Branch Road. The attached map below shows the approximate areas impacted.  (The areas west and south of the Lake Lure Dam will be served from alternate sources during this time.)

The impacted customers will be notified via phone calls on Thursday afternoon/evening and an Everbridge Notification will be sent out. (Register for Everbridge Now)
