Reservoir Drain Test - Thursday, March 27, 2025 Between 7AM-12PM
The Town of Lake Lure will be testing the new reservoir drain at the Dam on 3/27/25, shortly after 7:00 AM.

As a reminder, the Dam Bridge will be closed on Buffalo Shoals Road during these times.

For those living downstream of the Lake Lure Dam, there will be noticeably more flow than usual, but likely not enough to cause significant flooding.

Although we do not anticipate flooding, use caution near rivers and streams as water levels may vary in certain areas.

The testing will occur between 7:00 AM and 12:00 PM.
