Town of Lake Lure Welcomes Hydrow to the Hickory Nut Gorge

Lake Lure, NC — [April 18,2026] The Town of Lake Lure is pleased to welcome Hydrow, a leading connected fitness company known for its immersive, on-the-water rowing experiences, to the scenic Hickory Nut Gorge.
Hydrow brings the beauty and energy of world-class waterways directly into the homes of hundreds of thousands of members through expertly filmed rowing sessions in extraordinary locations around the globe. With a highly engaged audience of travel and discovery-minded individuals, Hydrow’s content extends far beyond fitness—offering viewers a compelling glimpse into the character and story of each destination.
The company is planning to film in Lake Lure in late April, showcasing the area’s breathtaking natural setting, including its pristine waters, dramatic mountain backdrop, and unique sense of place. More than just capturing workouts, Hydrow’s productions highlight the essence of the communities they visit, often serving as a powerful catalyst for tourism by inspiring viewers to explore featured locations firsthand.

The Hydrow team will be hosted by Rumbling Bald on Lake Lure and will be filming here in April 2026. These teams have received special permission to use the lake and will operate under close supervision during their time here. We believe this collaboration will bring national visibility to the region and further position Lake Lure as a premier destination for outdoor recreation, wellness, and travel.
