Temporary Road Closure - Bridge over the Lake Lure Dam on Buffalo Shoals Road - Wednesday, 9/17/25 (9:30 AM - 12:30 PM)

There will be a temporary road closure on the bridge across the Lake Lure Dam Bridge on Buffalo Shoals Road this Wednesday, 9/17/25 from (9:30 AM - 12:30 PM). 

Please plan for the road to be closed during this three hour period. The road will reopen at 12:30 PM. 

The purpose for the closure is for an EPA and FEMA visit.  The EPA/FEMA team will be visiting Lake Lure to assess our progress as we are approaching the anniversary of Hurricane Helene. 

Following a tour of the Lake Lure Dam, participants will tour the Waste Water Treatment Plant, and Morse Park.  They will hold a press conference at the end of their tour.
