2025 ~ A Pictorial Review of the Year
Click here to review a pictorial review of 2025.
As 2025 draws to a close, we pause to reflect on a year that tested Lake Lure in profound ways. Hurricane Helene changed our lives and our landscape, but it also revealed our resilience, compassion, and unity as a community.
In the days and months that followed, neighbors became lifelines, helping hands appeared without being asked, and hope took shape in the steady work of rebuilding the Town of Lake Lure and the Hickory Nut Gorge. From cleared roads and restored homes to shared meals and quiet encouragement, every act—large and small—mattered.
This pictorial review is more than a look back. It is a tribute to the courage it took to move forward, the patience required to rebuild, and the collective spirit that carried Lake Lure through uncertainty toward renewal. Each image tells a story of progress.
Thank you for your perseverance, your kindness, and your unwavering love for our Town. May the coming year bring continued healing, stability, and new reasons to gather and celebrate!
With gratitude and warm wishes to all.
