The First Boat is Back at Washburn Marina! 

Hallelujah! What a beautiful sight.

Seeing the first boat return to the newly rebuilt Washburn Marina marks another incredible milestone in Lake Lure's recovery. Thank you to everyone whose hard work and dedication helped make this day possible.

As you visit the marina, please pardon our progress. Contractors are putting the finishing touches on the marina and surrounding parking area, but we wanted to open the seasonal boat slips to renters as soon as they were ready rather than delay access while every final detail was completed.

Visitors can access the new floating boardwalk from either Lake Lure Beach or Morse Park. Take a stroll, enjoy the beautiful views of the lake, and experience this exciting new addition to our waterfront.

Work will continue over the coming days/weeks, including:
• Completion of the hot docks for temporary loading and unloading
• Installation of the temporary Lake Lure Tours building
• Final adjustments to the stationary docks for tour boats and boat rentals
