Lake Lure Classical Academy will host a 5K cross country race on Thursday, September 17, from 5:00–7:00 PM, with the course encompassing portions of the Dittmer-Watts Nature Trail.

Students will begin the race at Lake Lure Classical Academy and make their way along the trail as part of the 5K course.

Trail visitors: If you plan to enjoy the Dittmer-Watts Nature Trail during the race time, please be aware of runners and expect temporary activity along portions of the trail.

A special thank you to the Town of Lake Lure Public Services Department and our Trail Coordinator for their work preparing the trail for this event and helping our local students enjoy this beautiful community resource.
