In 2027, the Town of Lake Lure celebrates its 100th anniversary—a century of natural beauty, cherished traditions, memorable moments, and the people who have made this special place home.
From its early beginnings in 1927 to the vibrant community we know today, Lake Lure’s story has been shaped by generations of residents, families, visitors, businesses, and community leaders. Through times of growth and times of challenge, our community has continued to come together, adapt, and look toward the future while honoring the character and history that make Lake Lure unique.
This calendar celebrates 100 years of Lake Lure—our lake and mountains, our landmarks and traditions, our events and celebrations, and most importantly, the people who have helped shape our community.
As we celebrate this milestone throughout 2027, we invite residents and visitors alike to remember where we came from, celebrate where we are today, and imagine what the next century will bring.
