Together We arise - Lake Level Update

Lake Lure Beach 3/30/26

The Town of Lake Lure, NC is pleased to report that the lake level has reached approximately 987.1 feet Mean Sea Level (MSL)—just 3.4 feet below full pond (990.5 MSL). These photos taken today highlight the beauty of the lake from the Lake Lure Beach and from Morse Park looking back at the beach and the Lake Lure Inn & Spa.

Work is ongoing at the Washburn Marina - rebuilding the floating boardwalk and marina docks, constructing the marina tour boat docks, fueling station, and adding a new marina building to serve the public.

Crews from the North Carolina State Mission Assigned Recovery Task (SMART) Program continue working around the lake, removing remaining debris in the lake and at the shoreline. To date, they have cleared more than 1,400 cubic yards of debris, and their efforts are ongoing.

These final steps to restore the lake and rebuild the related amenities are critical steps to reopening Lake Lure. We are working hard to ensure a smooth reopening process and we can't wait to welcome everyone back! Thank you for your continued support and patience throughout this process.
