Lake Lure Town Council Special Meeting Summary - Thursday, December 4, 2025

Thank you to those who joined the Lake Lure Town Council for a special meeting on Thursday, December 4, 2025 at 3:00 p.m. at The Landings.  

• The meeting was held at The Landings at 920 Buffalo Creek Road, Lake Lure, NC 28746. 

• The public was invited to attend the meeting. 

• The following is a summary of meeting for those who could not attend. 

• Note that these are not formal minutes which will be included in the following month's Town Council Meeting packet. 

I. Call to Order

Mayor Carol Pritchett called meeting to order. 

II. Consider Approval of Contract with Construction Specialties and Design Builders (CSDB), Inc for the construction of the Marina and Boardwalk

Town Manager Olivia Stewman presented the Construction Specialties and Design Builders contract to the board for consideration.

• Town Attorney William Morgan worked with Ms. Stewman to ensure the contact reflected the Town’s best interests in terms of quality of work and timeframes needed.
• It was noted that the Town needed ensure extensions are on record and all supplies are logged upon delivery.
• Town Council recommended that 15.(d) should be removed to comply.                    
• The contract was awarded with this amendment.
